A skipper training course is recommended for novice skippers or skipper license holders who have little practical experience or who would like to refresh their existing knowledge.

Under the expert guidance of an experienced skipper, you will learn how to safely navigate a large yacht. Our skipper training is the ideal preparation for skippering yachts under your own responsibility.

Being a responsible skipper is not only about running a yacht safely, but also about being aware of the high level of responsibility. Thus, the proper briefing of your crew is also part of your job. In an emergency, you can’t rely on every crew member knowing exactly what to do. Proper preparation can effectively prevent such situations.

Our skipper training includes:

• Safety briefing on all safety and rescue equipment
• Introduction to all the technology on board
• Port maneuvers such as entering and leaving the box, backing up to the dock or pier, steaming into the breakwater, etc.
• Various mooring situations on inland waterways such as mooring against a sheet pile wall, mooring in tight gaps, alongside, forward and backward, etc.
• Lock rides (preparing and passing through a lock)
• Cruise planning, evaluation of weather reports, handling of the radio set
